Many Options for Customizing Your Tablet PC
Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 includes all of the customization options that are available in Windows XP Professional, plus you can customize your Tablet PC and pen settings to suit the way you work. Set your Tablet PC for use with your right or left hand. Calibrate the display based on how you work with your tablet pen. Use instant screen rotation to change the screen from portrait to landscape mode without restarting your computer. Adjust the screen brightness. Change the default settings of the hardware buttons. Change how the pen replaces standard mouse movements, such as single-click, double-click, or right-click. Set the handwriting-recognition language. Tablet PC Input Panel's ink-to-text experience now flows more seamlessly with your activities. Input Panel launches wherever you want to write and automatically grows to ensure a natural writing experience. Plus, new support for context awareness improves recognition of common entries such as e-mail addresses and URLs, in addition to automatic detection of character height and keystroke order. You can customize Input Panel settings based on your personal preferences. Move Input Panel anywhere on the screen, or dock it in place so that it doesn't cover any open windows. Insert text automatically. Define the amount of space between the lines in the writing area. Adjust the ink thickness and color. Add custom words, such as names or acronyms, to the handwriting-recognition dictionary.
